Each may nominate directors to represent it within the Chamber. Moldova is the Chamber’s primary Eastern European partner.
A regional market of more than four hundred million people. South Africa is its largest economy and the point of accreditation for most missions serving the region.
Five of the twenty-one corridor states maintain a diplomatic presence in South Africa. The remainder have no mission anywhere in the SADC region, and several have no representation on the African continent at all.
That absence is the Chamber’s reason for existing. Where a state has no mission, no trade officer and no chamber, whatever trade occurs happens by accident and at a fraction of its potential. Country-level analysis is published as each set of figures is verified.
